  • rendering elevations

I know this was brought up in much earlier posts but not sure if this new version of vray does allow for elevational renderings with a toggle or something. if so i haven't been able to find it,does anyone know?
    thanks

    Re: rendering elevations

Parallel projection should be supported in the new version. Remember that the physical camera does not support parallel projections, and it is on by default, so you may have to disable it in order to see it.

Another way around this if you for some reason MUST use the physical camera is to change the 'Field of View' under Camera to only 1 degree. It wont be a perfect parallel projection but it takes a good eye to notice the difference if you've gotten it right.

          Re: rendering elevations

Although im using an older Vray (so i'm unsure if this will work with the new version) IT IS possible to render out TRUE ELEVATIONS, none of this changing physical camera to 1deg stuff, give this a go.

I dont like using the FTP transfer link in Fourms due to sniffing on the work server. So insted i use a website called 'you send it'

click the link (or copy paste into browser) download the settings to your computer and load them into your vray settings

Turn parallel projection ON (perspective off) in SU and get the view you want, ensure the sun is in the correct location or else it can render quite dark, and push RENDER

Let me know how you go, im not sure if this will work with the new VRAY but it works on mine.
A little bit of Photoshop helps too. If you find it renders better with some settings changes, let me know
the rendering time will take a little longer as the output is quite large
