  • Hellp with materials.

    Hi there,

I have been using Sketchup for almost a year now, exporting my models to Cinema 4D so that I can render them with VRay. I just recently stumbled upon Vray for Sketchup, and was hoping to cut out the middle man! I'm currently playing with the 30-Day Demo version, and I have encountered a rather significant problem: I can't seem to figure out how to use materials.

I have downloaded a few from this site, but I'm not sure where they should be installed. I have a VrayForSketchup folder within my Google Sketchup 6/Plugins folder, but it does not contain a folder for materials. There also doesn't seem to be a way to import materials from Vray materials manager within Sketchup.

Material management in C4D is pretty straightforward, so I found this surprising.

    Any suggestions/help would be appreciated!

    Thanks.
    I.

Materials aren't "installed", but are just loaded whenever you want them. If you right click on Scene Materials in the Material editor you should get some options there to load either an individual material or load a whole directory of materials.
