  • Texture question

Hi I have a question about texturing. When I make some material and I set a Bump map (for example some jpg file of squares). And I render it. I have a result of material with squares, but the squares are very small, for example 3 cm and I want them 10 cm. How can I do it? Thanks for any help

    Re: Texture question

if you using the v1.00 then the material should be VrayLinkedMtl in order for Vray to coordinate with SU material.

      Re: Texture question

It is not actualy what I meant. I downloaded a material of parquet from this site. It was a zip file, whitch contained a vismat file and two jpg files. I imported it to my vray material editor in sketchup file. I set the jpg files. One to diffuse layer and secont as a bump map. I uploaded preview and I saw what I wanted. A praquet. I apply this material on a floor and rendered it. It was OK but a single parquet was too small (6 cm) and I want them enlarge. How can I make it? thanks

        Re: Texture question

Did you apply the V-Ray material to a blank mesh, or did you make a SU material with the diffuse map?
V-Ray requires that you have applied a textured SU material to the mesh in order to get texture coordinates. Without the textures will be very small.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

          Re: Texture question

I didn't. So I selected this blank mesh and click import, then I choose the jpg file that I have set as a diffuse map. So I had a floor with this jpg file. I click right button mouse/texture/position and I enlarged the texture. Then I applied v-ray material of parquet. Then I click render and the single parquet were still small? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for advises.
