  • Some Default Light won't go away

Hi, I am really a beginner in Vray, and actually a slow one. I would very much appreciate some help with this issue, which I believe must be a very simple one.

I am trying some renders with the most basic settings. I don,t even have material maps. It seems that some default light is always on, and it affects the other lights I bring in, like the sunlight. Even when the options under the Global Switches Rollout of Default Lights and Hidden Lights are unchecked, I still keep getting this light source that also casts shadows. This is annoying, since I generally use render applications for simple global illumination lighting scenes. But even then I am getting a define shadow on the horizontal plane from a light source that apparently comes directly from above. Even when I turn off GI, and turn off lights under the Global Switches Rollout, I still get this light source. How can I turn it off?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Chances are the Default Light is still mapped to the sky. Either map the sky to a different light, or remove it all together. A better starting point might be one of the other visopts that come with vfr. Go to File>Load and there should be a bunch on that page.
