  • HELP creating a marble material for a column

    I have been trying to create a marble material for a column i constructed but i have a problem as the image keeps tiling as it goes around the column giving it a very ugly look, I have adjusted the size over and over but it doesnt affect anything it reads the curve as many different faces. can anyone help me?

    Can you show a screenshot of it? it would be easer to understand the issue

          Yeah! the UV plugin is made for this job.
          But mariobro22, you might need to make proportional texture with photo editing app (like Photoshop). Because the tool is stretching the texture.

            if I used the uv plugin would I have to create a vraylinked material? not very familiar with that though so any help would be good?

              In SR1, no, since all materials are linked with SU. In the original release, you would only need a linked material if you wanted some extra V-Ray properties along with it. Creating a linked material isn't that hard, just add a linked material and select the base SU material that you want to use. Everything else other than that layer with the red icon is fair game.
