  • help.... triangulated renderings??

    hi asgvis community

i've never had this problem before with rendering, but for some reason, black triangulations are showing up on my renderings... i haven't changed any of my settings! i'm not sure what's going on:

the picture of of a lofted surface.. simple booleaned shapes also have the same problem:

has anybody run into a similar problem? or is there a way to restore the default settings vray comes with?

    thanks

That looks like there might be some overlapping geometry there. You might want to see if there's two surfaces or something. You can reload the defaults by going to File> Restore Defaults at the top of the options dialog.

there aren't any overlapping surfaces. the second picture is literally an extruded block that has a corner of a box booleaned out of it.
