Opinions please?

Hi there. These are my first renders ever made in Vray.




This is the diffuse channel of the last one;


The textures I wish to create are similar from this photo:

Walls are plain concrete painted.
Now, I see "too much light" in the textures; what's your opinion?
How can I make it better?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong, But I am not sure what it is that you are not happy about! :-\
The first threee images are ok - stylized - but ok. Personally I am uneasy with your mixture of photoreal rendering and disneyesqe trees. With different trees - if this is a style you wish to develop - then maybe match the trees to the people and have semi-transpaarent trees, but at the moment, for me, it isn't working.

Maybe add a sylized sky to make the scene more complete. I must say we are all hung up on photoreal (including me), but sometimes stylized images can be very impressive. However, for them to be good, I think they need a lot more skill (i.e. artistic ability) than photoreal renders - which after all are excercises in technical ability!
(sorry if this is a bit phylosphical - its very late here!)

I don't think you are doing anything wrong, But I am not sure what it is that you are not happy about! :-\

I think the colors look too bright. I would like more vivid colors for the floor, the stone wall and the ground where Disney threes are.

Also, It's not like I'm trying to develop a new rendering style right now... Those threes were the ones which came in the Sketchup default library, and since I have a very slow machine, I want to learn the basics of mapping and lighting before messing with plants, reflections, caustics and so.

So, the question is: How can I make the colors more vivid?

main thing is to change the trees. they look too cartoony. You can photoshop them in because rendering them will take a long time.
