  • Sky background

    Hmmm.

I have tried to add a sky bitmap background but cant figure out how to.

is there a tutorial on this...?

Ideally I would want the sky to vanish with the same perspective as the rendering

    thx

    Re: Sky background

You will need a 360 degree image, not a normal photo.

One variant of 360 degree skies are these: http://www.evermotion.org/index.php?...fold=exclusive

To use them you have to set the mapping to Environment and Spherical.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

      Re: Sky background

      thanks!

      those are great,

But after I set the GI to bitmap and use those sky images for spherical mapping I am not getting the type of sky I was looking for.

Im guessing my settings are wrong for GI and Background

any quick tutorials on this or present rendering settings which make adding sky simple.

      thanks alot

At the starterkit (tutorial forum section) you will find an example file based on HDRI usage. Also at the general section at the "general usefull links" you will find more HDRI links.
