  • how can i check if the rectangle light is blocking my camera in an scene??

first of all, I am new with this thing about redering and so I choose to start in this bussiness by this software (to work with sketch up because is the easiest program in I can make models) and so on I have the Vray 1.5 version and while rendering as the manual says i found an issue.... I see a black in "the sky" in the render image while the rectangle light is bright white and so the manual says "If you see unsual shadows in you render image please chacy if the rectangle light is blocking your camera" this text in page 28 to 29 in the users manual, I read all the F*cking manual and I found nothing about checking how rectangle lights blocks cameras, Can someone, administrators or people involved with the developing of VrayforSU help me please? i will be very glad if I receive help from the people mentioned.... Thanks

    P. D. Wow!!!, V-ray is very very very slow to render three poor panton chairs and also I have 2 gigs in my processor (well I have vista) but 3ds max is not so slow!!! how may I wait to render an entire house???

    I need answers fast!

As of SR1.5 the Sky is off by default. Go to Enviroment and click on both the Ms and set the map type to Sky. Ensure that the multipliers in the Environment flyout is also 1.

Do you get a speed difference with the same settings? That would be odd if that happens. But you should get any speed difference if you got the same settings set up in both programs.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
