  • TRANSPARENCY LAYER

Hello: I am new to Vray for SketchUp. I have been using it for the past few months.
I have a question. I have tried to render a Tree that someone else created and was posted in the 3D Warehouse of Google SketchUp. When I render it in Vray, the Image of the branches appears surrounded by a black color (however, in SketchUp, only the branches are visible. How can I make the black background transparent?
I have already applied the material Image on both the DIFFUSE and the TRANSPARENCY layers after adding the material as a Vray Material. I can't attach Images here, or I would show the results I came up with.
Can someone help? It would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Re: TRANSPARENCY LAYER

u need to apply a clip map to the transparency layer (a black and white version of your leaves, no grey) to show vray what is see through and what isnt, white being see through and if ur using Vray 1 you'll need to apply that same clip map to "background" in the maps section of ur material roll out...
