Re: Exposure control relativ to light units (Wats)

Although I can see where you're coming from, my main question (more or less) is Why Watts? In the real world, exposure isn't really measured by watts, so I'm wondering why you want an exposure control with relation to watts. It would be more likely to be able to have exposure controlled through either Candelas or Lumens, since those are more directly related to the the amount illumination that's reaching the camera. Remember, watts are a unit of power, not a unit of light measurement, so its not really very useful when talking about how much light a given area receives.

Reading between the lines, and correct me if I'm totally off, you want some way to A) set a standard exposure level, and B) adjust that exposure level in an easier manner than ISO, SS, and/or F-Stop. So if there were an "automatic exposure" option that would be very useful, and if there were a way to adjust that so that you could increase/decrease that exposure by a third, a half, or a whole stop...would that work?
