why does my option show adaptive DMC instead of QMC?

all of the tutorials refer to adaptive QMC under the image sampler tab, but my option says adaptive DMC. why is this and does it make a difference?

QMC was used by the original version. After SR1.0 DMC was used instead.

k. thanks. in that case, i tried to follow the qmc listed settings for interior architecture scene where it had a large window with outdoor light, but got different results than the tutorial. -likely because there were some things that were not checkable because of the qmc-dmc difference. are there any new tutorials for dmc?

Everything is exactly the same with DMC...for your guys purposes they are exactly the same
