Can anyone help with this problem?
i have been running an animation using the sketchup scenes. when i play the scenes in sketchup the animation looks smooth. once i render it in vray, It looks like the cameraman is drunk. for some reason the scenes don't transition smoothly in vray. It wobbles as it makes its way through the scenes. I have tried it with viewport overide on and off but still happens.
has anyone had this problem and know a fix?
    thanks for your help

    Re: vray animation is drunk

    so i've tried:
-copying the model into a new clean file
    -creating brand new scenes
-changing and updating the visopt file
-tried it on a different computer

    and still no luck
i am including two small animation links of both sketchup and vray animations, in case anyone is not understanding
    thanks again for your time

Try to set the scene and transition delay to 0 sec

It looks like the only problem is just that you haven't set the scene delay to zero. The transition time will need to be more than zero otherwise you would only get one frame per scene, making for a very short animation!

          Re: vray animation is drunk

Well I've never seen that before in the animations that I've done, nor has it been reported by others. It seams really odd as there really isn't any parameter with in V-Ray that dictates camera roll, and no only that, all we're really doing is interpolating position (which is pretty simple). I think the pages are playing more of a role here some how some way, so maybe you can explain more about how you generated them.

Personally, I think that is really f-ing cool. I know its unintended, but I really like it. So much so, I may just use it for an animation that I'm currently working on.

Doh, I only watched the first animation before I replied. The second one is weird indeed- is it possible you're using a ruby plugin to generate the pages?

              thanks for all your replies.
well i did try recreating scenes from scratch using sketchups position camera tool. i thought it had something to do with moving around in a circular path but can't understand why.
i have made animations that weren't circular and they worked fine.
i am not using any ruby scripts.
the cube actually represents a more complex 1 story building but for the sake of the post i made it a box.
its had me stumped all week now...
              thanks again

So i've posted the skp file to an ftp. Can someone tell me if they have the same problem running an animation using the scenes i have created?
                    thanks so much

                      Re: vray animation is drunk

I just dl'd the scene and got an animation going. I just rendered out the animation (changed the save path and the IR min/max rate...nothing that would affect the animation) and I'm not seeing issue that's in your animation that you posted. I'm not sure why, but maybe something is going on while the animation is being rendered and that's what's causing it. Since I've never seen this before and can't reproduce it here I have no clue what's really at fault.

                      BTW I'm using build 1.05.30

thanks for running the animation. i guess that means there is something wrong on my end. i will try exploring on other machines some more
btw, i am using build 01.05.02
                        thanks

Might it have something to do with me using a 64 bit machine?

I don't think so...I'll try it on mine at some point today and see what happens. I doubt that would really change a thing, but I've been wrong before

so i've tried it on a 32 bit machine and it seems to work but strangely enough i find other problems. it seems all my lighting is no longer active. i have point and rectangular lights that show up in the model but i can't get the settings popup to show up in these models when i open them on the 32 bit machine and i have to re apply all the lights. is this a known problem?
