Is it your experience too? My Rhino 5 tests ends with display problems often, so that I stopped to test v5. Is is stable now?
Could be nice to get the old VfR as 64bit version. Maybe it's one day of work for the developer, but it could be a big help for the users.

Re: Rhino 5 Vray plugin 64bit

      Hey All,

It is defiantly not one days work Micha. If it were I would have held Devin and Joe hostage till they did it just so that I could stop hearing that same question over and over again.

Beta testing should begin soon but any answer more specific then that would be a lie. We don't know yet and we are not gonna guess, get your hopes up, turn out wrong, then listen to how mad you are about it. Hang in there true believers, we will be coming to you here at the forum first when we need testers. Odds are we will use this thread to get it started.

We are not holding out on you, we honestly do not know. I can not stress this enough.

ha! not even if Devin and Joe had Dual xeon Cores in their heads and multiple arms.....people knoked it off, they are developers with a schedule. By the way how many here in the forum have a purchased license?

I would say, the developing team is to small. If something like a VfR plugin need years to get it implemented at it's best, than maybe it's time to think about the reasons. Vray is a pro tool and a well developed plugin should be a very good sellable product. Laublab got it for Cinema, why not ASGvis for Rhino?

I really can't wait to put out the new core and start pumping out updates so you'll stop making comments like this. It'll get better man, I'm telling you. The SketchUp guys have gotten 3 public releases since 1.48.66 was released in April, it's a lot easier to put out updates with the new rewrite. It'll be a little bit longer before we put out a beta, but hang in there!

              Any update on this?
You guys are the only reason why we haven't switched our entire office over to Rhino 5!

it's in the closed beta stage. Open beta will begin as soon as our testers give us a thumbs up.

so how is that release coming along. I believe it was demonstrated in London at the Design Museum, maybe I am wrong...

Is there any idea to the release strategy, perhaps you a looking to release when rhino 5 is released?

If so I would suggest getting some rhino 5 + vray combo bundles ready!

To be completely honest I think you have to fine some extra edge and reward long term users because the release cycle for vray for rhino has been appauling. But at least not as bad and rhino itself.

LoL rhino 4 was released in 2007! What year is it now? Does microsoft make rhino?
