  • How to make a cloudy sky?

    Hi,
I was trying to make a cloudy sky. But with no result. I have a model of a house. So a made a big face and move it beyond the house. Then I put a sky texture on this face. Then I linked this material as a vray material and render. It was ok, but the sky (the face) was casting shadow. So a made a group and uncheck "Cast shadow" and "Recieve shadow". But the sky was still casting shadow.
Does anyone have an idea how to do it? Or another better method. Thanks for help.

I wouldn't even try to actually model clouds- it's easier, faster and much much better to use a background image instead- either a spherical photograph or spherical rendered skies from Vue or Terragen and load it in the environment background slot. Maybe we can start playing with physical clouds when VfSU supports volumetrics (but SU would die on its @rse trying to cope with cloud geometry without proxies anyway).
