  • noob: why do all my renders have a blue cast to them

    Hi

No matter what settings I change I seem to always get a blue cast to my renderings. I am avoiding the use of a light for the time being, focusing on just getting a nice clay style render. I know how to do this in Max but in Rhino no matter whether I have all my materials overridden and my environment colours set, everything still comes out pale blue...anybody know why?

If you have an older version of the software, the defaults had the sun and sky system enabled by default. That's about the only thing I would say could be making things blue.

To remove those, you'll want to disable Default Lights in the Global Switches rollout, and in the Environment roll out, make sure there are no capital M s next to any of your settings. If there are, then double click on them and set the Texture type to None.
