  • Can you disable shadows on 2d billboard???

Is it possible to disable shadows on objects in VRFSU? I've looked in the materials, and so far found nothing.

What I would like to do is place the shadows of 2d trees manually in photoshop, so I need them to not render in V-Ray.

If you're reading this Thomthom, i just noticed you also helped me in the SketchUcation forum. Wow! Thanks again!

No way to prevent objects from casting shadows. Since you plan on doing the shadows in PS I'd place the trees in PS as well.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

Yes and No...directly, the answer is No, but this will be available in the next full version. Now though you can use a trick with two sided materials...just add a Skp2Sided material and for the Back material, supply your billboard. Leave the front material blank. No make sure that all of your billboards have their backfaces facing the camera instead of their frontfaces.
