  • Help with sky

    Hello,

Could someone please help me. I am new to vray for sketchup render (and all things like it!) When I do a render I the window has a lovely blue sky. When I save the render and open the saved png the sky is white. Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong.

    Re: Help with sky

    1. What version of V-Ray for Sketchup do you have? (What does the About section say?)

    2. If you save .png files and you have the Alpha channel enabled in the VFB Channels the .png will have a transparency applied.
You have to either save as a different format, or remove the Alpha channel from the VFB channels. Note that in the original version you can not remove the Alpha channel and have to save in a different format. (hence why I asked what version you used. It's always useful to state that when asking questions as the different VfSU versions behave differently)
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

You could also mantain the PNG format: if you need the sky to be there, say, for a presentation, you could easily open it on Paint or similar and save as BMP or JPG.

        Good Luck
