  • Excluding objects from reflection?

Hello, I'm very new to this rendering thing so bear with me! I'm trying to do my first interior, but I've met a slight problem. When I apply a wooden or other colored floor, the whole room changes atmosphere. It produces this yellowish orange hue which bothers me a lot! In itself it's normal that a material reflects on the other surfaces, but I'd like a colder final result. I wouldn't remove all the reflection effect but I'd still like to control it.

I've seen other renders where the floor is wooden and the walls right next to it are a quite pure white, so I know it can be done but for the life of me I can't manage it! I've fiddled with countless options but being quite new to this thing I haven't managed it.

Would it be an option in vray or in rhino?

I've attached the image so you can understand better my problem. If you notice the ceiling which should be white is quite orange-ish. So basically what I'm trying to do is excluding the ceiling from the wooden floor's reflection and possibly the concrete walls too. Or at least reducing it!

I'd appreciate some help! Thank you and I'm looking forward to learning these tools as an architect!

If you have any other remarks on the render, even if it is quite basic please do tell!
