  • Problem with animation - sun seems to move

I just followed the ASGVIS advanced tutorial for creating an animation with VfR. Everything seemed to be going well until I looked at the final animation: there are two shadows, one is stationary and the other seems to move. Simple test animation of flying around a cube. One shadow stays stationary relative to the cube, the other moves as if the light is moving with the camera.

I'm using an Irradiance Map for the GI primary and a DMC for the secondary. As the tutorial says, I rendered the irradiance map and saved it, then did the final rendering using the IR map.

I'm also using a VRay Sunlight System and VRay Sky.

    Any thoughts?

Seem that you have the default light enable in the Global Switches. This light is the default Rhino light and is attached to the camera, that is why the light is moving and always cast shadow in the same location. If you created a Sun light to be use as a sun, be sure that select that light under the GI and Background on the Environment Rollout.
