How about the rest of the settings?
How about transparency bitmap in diffuse layers?
Will I need a refraction layer in both materials? (How should it be configured?)
Could you post an image of the settings window, please?!
I can't quite figure it out by myself... looks like I'm stuck ???
In the case of the model I posted there is no other settings.
Each leaf is modelled to the leaf shape - so I don't need any transparency in the diffuse.
And you don't need any refraction layer with two-sided materials. If you have "thick" leaves then you'd need refraction, but with Two-sided you avoid that because this material fakes it.
And note that the effect will depend on the light you have in your scene. It'll be most noticeable when you have bright light hitting the leaves directly.
Can you post some screenshots of your attempts?
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
Thanks thomthom
In my Gallery thread (http://forum.asgvis.com/index.php?topic=7755.0), Simon10 suggested translucency for the leaves. I've tested the 2SidedMtl with many different settings but without any result.
Just now, I found the reason why it didn't work:
I didn't alter the colour value in the 2SidedMtl, so it stayed at rgb 0,0,0... stupid me.
Works fine now, thanks for your input!!
btw, you can see the final image in my Gallery
