  • Rendering Laser Beams in Vray for sketchup

Hey Im trying to render a glass material from a materials library for Vray for sketchup so that it looks like a laser beam, but it wont render properly. It seems to only render its diffuse layer and nothing else. I am looking o render something that looks a little like a laser beam. Can anyone suggest how I can do this?

    thanks all.

Try adding an emissive layer to the material. Then adjust the emissive color to whatever color you want the laser to be. You might also have to tweak the multiplier to get the brightness just right.
    I am currently using V-Ray 1.49.01.

Can you post a sample of your tests? Much easier with pictures.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
