  • Interior Rendering - Noise issues

Hey Guys, I posted another rendering a few days ago and I need some help with trying to figure out what exactly is causing the noise on the floor. The terazzo floor is a glossy material with 8 sub. and the rectangular lights are stored with the IR and are set at 8 sub. I am also noticing some noise and blotchiness on the metal for the columns....any suggestions for this? I am not using a bitmap for this.

    Here is the rendering

Apparently my IR and LC settings are good, but I am not too sure about the IS and DMC settings. Can anyone help with this?

Any other suggestions you might have would be great. This is due friday so as much help as I can get today would be great!

    Thanks!

Increase the noise threshold to 0.005 and subs on the floor material to 20

I never use more than 2 in min subdivs. That value (4) is to high. The noise that you have seem to be bad sampling in that area produced mainly by the sun. If you notice that the noise is just is mainly on the floor material that is kind of reflective. To fix that go to the Color mapping and enable "subpixel" and "Clamp output" option.

Ok great I will give that a try. Also, I notice a black HALO being created around my lights.....Is this typical? What is cuasing this? Anyone?

Bad sampling. When you enable the "Subpixel" and 'Clamp outout" should be gone.
