  • Only rectangular light is working

    hello guyz.. ;D
i've upgraded vray to the latest edition (v 1.4
after reading the new features manual i think i have a problem!!

none of the lighting systems is working ???..just the rectangular light..
when i render the scene no matter how simple or complex it was..its just like the lights are not there..nothing appears

i've tried to increase the intensity to very high numbers and i've tried to play with the GI and stuff but none of this is working :-[
i'm not a prof renderer.. but i used to do well on the former edition of vray

i have a final submission of my graduation project next week and i need to have my shots ready before that :-\

    so plz...any help with this!

another thing..the former edition used to have many profiles with it (low, very low,high,medium...etc) they were usefull..now there's nothing..just the default profile..i'd appreciate any help with all of this...

    thnx in advance

Hi fellas, i am having the same issue. Im trying to use a IES light but it doesnt work, changed to a omni light, it doesnt work. Only the rectangular light seems to work. Any ideas? maybe is a bug of vray 1.48?

I had the same problem too, but I solved it

from windows> model info,, check the units of your model,, you mustset it Centimeters!! I do not know why, but it worked for me,,
for IES lights you must assign an *.IES file to each light,, and the power must be around 150000~500000.. It will work perfectly, trust me

another important note: do not change the scale of the lights!
