  • Anisotropy help

    I tried to use the anisotropy but didn't work as I'm expecting.

    Could you explain me what the amount is and how to let it work.

    Is it working for Flat surface?
    And why if I change the rotation to 90 nothing seems changing?

    anisotropy rotation input is in radians. I just posted something about this today in the SketchUp forums actually.

      If I remember me right the Anisotropy value must be set to negativ values to get the stretch effect in the other direction.

      I hope the next update will give us the possibilty to control this value per map, so that anisotropy pattern can be created. Should not be so difficult and it was forgetten for the first release. The logic could be that grey value 125 is anisotropy 0. I have seen renderings from Maxwell with this kind of mapped anisotropy - very nice.
