  • Materials edited in sketchup material toolbar

    Hi everyone,

when I import a texture image in the sketchup material toolbar, then change its color, the rendered image will always use the basic bitmap instead of the new color that I see in the 3D-model.

For example: I import a stone floor bitmap in light gray. In the skp material toolbaar I change the HLS to make it darker. Vray will render useing the original bmp.
Is there a way to change the brightness / color of textured materials in the vray material editor without importing a new bitmap?

    Greetings, Sigrid

The best my amateur brains can think of is edit the texture first in photoshop and then import...or else add a second diffuse layer and give the 2nd diffuse the required color and play with the opacity...let the texture remain in the 1st diffuse as it is..

i know there will be better suggestions...lets wait and see

We don't support coloration in the new build and in the old build the coloration wasn't working good, so you have to edit the texture in photoshop.

altering the image in Photoshop is the best solution, but if you are only darking the image, you can do this by adjusting the gamma in the diffuse map settings
