  • V-Ray & Rhino 5 WIP 64 bit

Does V-Ray work with Rhino 5 WIP 64 bit? - I seem to have read conflicting answers (or it could be me!)

    Re: V-Ray & Rhino 5 WIP 64 bit

I use V-ray in Rhino 5 32bit and it is working fine. I haven't test it on Rhino 5 64bit.

Installed Rhino 5 WIP 32 bit, and as you say it works great! - Just curious to see what difference there would be with 64 bit.

          Hello Philip

No difference at all. V-Ray is still a 32bit program.

Officially we do not recommend using Rhino 5 with V-Ray at this time (Cough cough... Fernando) Although many users have had no trouble with it there are some cases where it simply will not work.

Interesting - I only had a look at Rhino 5 because for some reason Rhino 4 is not happy with one of my models. Maybe I should get this sorted in case V-Ray takes a dislike to R5 and I'm left high and dry.

Don't let me discourage you, if its working for now there is no harm. Most of the trouble I have seen is getting it to work period so you are already half way there.
