  • real world dimensions textures

when im rendering materials like bricks, tiles,....I have to edit every single object to get an image in which the textures has the same size in every object. it would be nice to tell rhino the real size of a texture and not having to worry about how many times it is repeated in every object.

Its there any way to do this ???

So far I found that the quickest way for my to do this is having 1x1meter textures and making texture maps of the objects also 1 meter length/width/height. I think these is better than figuring out how many time does it repeats in every single object, but it still needs object by object work.

    thanks

You can also use the scale command of rhino to scale the widget, taking like base or reference areas of the image were you aproximately know the lenght.

most times thats what im doing, adding a mapping to the objetct, enabling the mapping widget and scaling it to 1x1x1.

But with vertical planes it gets harder because when i add a mapping and change it to planar the widget doesnt fit the objetc, its horizontal and alligned to scp. Its there any way to make the widgets to fit the object automatically?

      thanks for your time
