vray proxy

Hi asgvis, i was just wondering if you are planning to release a version of vray with proxy? It would be a great help for all users if there will be a release. hehehe.. just a wish.. well anyway thanks asgvis! ;D

It's on the wishlist, but it is not something I would expect to see in the next few months. Nor could we venture even a guess at when it would be available. Saddly it's a complicated feature that has a lot holding it back within and without the Host app so it will take more then a few strokes of genius and luck to make it happen.

proxy would be something i'd love to see as well. in the meantime, have you tried Fredo6's "Ghost Comp" script? I haven't tried it myself, but have been meaning to. It will create an SU based proxy component, but I guess the question is, will vray render the proxy as is or will it render the full component?

we haven't implemented v-ray proxies, so you can't use v-ray proxies. Doing some stuff in SU won't change that. There is no additional plugin or script that can add something to our plugin like that. Sorry guys, ya gotta wait.
