  • Lights won't cast in rendering.

    Hello everyone,

    I need some help here,

I have created a sculpture in sketchup but for some reason cannot get my lights to work.
I am using a rectangular light above the object.

below is a link to my settings and sculpture.

Please help me figure this out!

Did you try higher light intensity volume than 1 ?

yes i did no result. the light is still invisble. The only thing i've managed to play with was the global illumination intensity. What i'm trying to do is create a light that I can position correctly around the obbject so as to get the right shadow and integate it in a photograph.

if the physical camera is enabled, you're going to need to set the intensity for the lights much higher than if you had the physical camera turned off. Try incrementing the intensity by 10 until you get the basic lighting you're looking for. Then fine tune it a bit once you're in the right neighborhood.

          D.

I've played with the global illumination and the intensity as well as with the camera. I can affect light that way, but my rectangle lights still wont work. I dont have any shadows on my rendering which is what im looking for.
