Needs help: Creating Dark Interior Space

Hi guys,

I am new to vray... I would like to render dark interior space (at night) so that I could see how everything looks like only when the lights are on (without any exterior lights).
How can I do that?
I am using the latest version of v.ray...
I don't understand how the sun works.
Please helppp =)

Do I turn off the default sketch up sun? Do I need to use hdri still? I'm sorry I got confused. Thanks tho..

I turned off the sun, and yes it is dark.. But how do I get the hdri lighting to work in this?

Just because from my understanding...hdri gives a better feel to the lighting and illumination? Hmm maybe I should learn more about the lighting in vray ??? When I turned off the sun.. The interior becomes rally dark and I can barely see the details and texture

Then try to use night HDRI to get the correct effect. Use the HDRI on the GI color and increase the multiplier until you are happy with the result. If you are using the physical camera you have to increase the multiplier higher than usual. But the clue on a night render are the artificial light. (lamps, scone, spotlight, etc.).
