Re: unable to create error report

I've been getting a similar message when I render. I have a scene with about 60 materials, most of which are flat tree images. The sketchup file size is just over 40MB, which many of the older V-Rays could handle.

Once I set up my scene and click render, my computer stalls for 10 - 20 minutes and then displays that "Unable to create error report" message. There have aslo been times where the render would start, and once it finished all of the prepass phases and got to the render phase, the threads would start rendering black squares. At that point, I'd cancel the render and then I'd get that "Unable to create error report" message again.

By the way, I have the 1.48.89 version. I am able to download the 1.48.94 Beta version, but I'm hesitant at the moment. When I had upgraded to the 1.48.89 version and then opened any model that was rendered in an earlier version, all of the materials defaulted to a grey diffuse material.

I'm on a tight deadline and I can't risk that happening again if I upgrade to the Beta version.

    Does anyone have any solutions?

Also, the entire error message reads as follows:

'Unable to create the error report.

Please verify that there is enough space in your TEMP folder.'

Anybody have any idea what they mean by the TEMP folder?
    I am currently using V-Ray 1.49.01.

Re: unable to create error report

      Hello!

It happens the same to me… ???

“Unable to create the error report… please verify that there is enough space in your TEMP folder "

One of the things that I repaired is that purge in the “Material Editor" of vray does not function completely (at least with me), being with residues of materials of objects that doesn’t exist no more… to be more effective must be made through the menu of pull down of the Sketchup, in Window/mode l info/ Statistics and effect the “purge Unused”...later coming back to the “material editor” and checking the localizations of all the maps (one by one) of each finishing material, for the most part of the cases it results...

Another aspect that I repaired has to see with the resolutions of output, in the high greater/not render at all ???

I have one work in progress (since last friday)and time is completely compromised to this issue, because the said above does not always result....and worse, dont have answers to give to my boss :-[ :-[

i had the same problem with the latest version of vray for sketchup: the error message "unable to create error report " appears after the black window of the render. I solved the problem first deleting all unused materials in the material folder of vray and after purging all from window/model info/statics. finally i change the scene of my rendering in sketchup. Now vray works normally, also at high resolution.
