can't keep vray material settings. pls help

hi good morning, can someone help me with my problem?

i have installed a trial version of vray 1.05, and used it to test render. the problem is. everytime i close may skp model and re-open it. the materials reset to default. all the bumps i applied where gone. but not the reflections. only the bumps and displacement.

that's something that used to happen with that version, you should try one of the last releases. they're also easier to understand

but i installed this same version to may desktop. and everything works perfectly. i cant seem to understand why it happened to my laptop. anyway tnx for the reply! ;D

Try this:

1. Uninstall V-Ray, then check to delete the directory where the files were his. If still delete it.
2. Update your windows (Service Packs), is very important that you install .Net (there are versions 1, 1.1, 2, 3, 3.5 and 4). You can download free from the Microsoft web site.
3. After you have install all updates of .Net and all its services packs, be sure to restart the computer.
4. Now install V-Ray.
5. Restart the computer.
6. Before trying again with the render, make sure you do not have any program that uses active Java.
7. Now try again with V-Ray.

d_hatch - Java and .net affect our 1.05.30 plugin? Where did you get this information from, I'm curious how any of that is necessary. I'm not saying that you're wrong, I'm just confused about where this information came from. I've seen some strange things happen with our plugin in the past, so I wouldn't be too awful surprised if this did help in some way.

Jepoy - Why are you using the old 1.05 version out of curiosity?
