Exactly what version of VfSU do you use?
What you describe sounds like a known bug in the old versions.

maybe this is usefull, when I explode all groups and components, most of the items are shown in my render

Depending on you VfSU,
Im using an older version (1 behind the current one) and it has a hard time dealing with GROUPS. i just make components of everything (or explode, make component)

Also using the older VfSU i have found if a material is created and then additional faces are added, if you apply the material in SU sometimes the link will not follow in vray... in turn manually override the face material

And: it can also occur when a material has been applied and created, then removed withing VRAY material editor.
