  • not having enough space in TEMP,,,

    Hello everyone,,,,

I have a question about rendering,, I'm trying to render a file (building model), when I set the output size to something like 4500x3500 pixels, the program crashes. the message is about not having enough space in TEMP folder.

System Configuration: Win 7, Intel Core i7 950@3.07GHz with 10GB of RAM
the file size is near 25MB

Can any of the friends helppppp??

BTW, what is the maximum output size which we can have?

This error message pops up, because SketchUp is crashing, and trying to write out a crash log to the temp folder. Typically we see this type of crash occur when you run out of memory. There are many discussions about optimizing memory usage on this forum. Our product is tied to SketchUp's available memory. Since SketchUp is a 32-bit application, it has a limit of 2-4gb of ram that can be used at one time (even on a 64-bit operating system with 100gb of ram). The latest version of SketchUp 8 allows a little more memory usage than SketchUp 7, so we do recommend upgrading your version of SketchUp to the latest version if possible, to ensure that you are getting the best performance out of your machine. There is no size limitation that we place on render output, the only limitation is how much ram is consumed during the render.
