Patina copper material? Anyone had any success?

I have tried everything under the sun that I know of to try to come up with a way to re-create a patina covered copper panel. I'm currently working on a perforated copper clad building and we've been asked to recreate the same material (the plain copper works without a problem) with a patina cover. I have not had any success. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Thanks so much.

long time ago i did experimentation. I used a combination of bump and use the filter map of the reflection layer. I hope to revisit this again.

i tried this one long time ago. 1.05.30 version... i played with loading a copper map on the reflection filter color and i also use bump material. those times that i just do experiment. I think i need to revisit this.

Thanks Nomer and fpedrogo. I will continue to test and experiment as you've pointed out. I'm including a preview I found of what I'd like to achieve (or close to it) I'm also including a couple of maps courtesy of the nice guys at vray-materials.de. Thanks again guys for your help. looks like a blend material. I think its difficult to achieve. I will give it a workaround...

Is it also possible to give me the link where you downloaded that Vraymax material. or send the vraymax material, i will see how it was done in Vray max.

Thanks nomer. That'd be great if you would shed some light on this. The material came from vray-materials.de the link is http://www.vray-materials.de/all_materials.php?mat=2166
When you download it (you have to be registered which is free) it'll just be a preview thumbnail and a .mat file. I searched for a way to convert a .mat to a .vismat but apparently there's no such thing.

I had a quick try at reproducing this texture using the images you posted above, it would seem the "dirt" option is your best bet for making this texture I have posted a snapshot of the setting I used. Unfortunately I will be out of the office for the rest of the day but if I get a moment tomorrow I will see if I can experiment some more to fine tune the settings.
