  • Frame buffer freezing, HELP PLZ

I'm a total newbie and I'm having issues with the frame buffer.
I have a simple outdoor scene that I'm trying to render. I got the GI set without any problem but when I try to render with the materials (ie w/o overide material option), the frame buffer freezes and I cannot see the render process anymore. I tried different materials (all from the Chaos group website) but the same thing happens each time. And even after 45mn waiting, nothing changes.
    Can anyone plz help?

      Hi Arqestevez

I tried another outdoor scene and I managed to make it work,

but now I'm having the same problem with a new scene. I tried to upload it here but I couldn't access my SU model through the attachment window. Is there anywhere else I can do it?

from your image post, it looks like your scene is very geometry heavy. Maybe try rendering your scene without some of the plants and sculptures and see if it works. As you add back in the heavier objects (the ones with lots of faces), you may find you run out of memory. That's what it sounds like the problem may be. Try to reduce the complexity of your objects if you can.

Actually the image you see is the model I got to work properly. I have another indoor scene that I couldn't render with the materials. It worked with overriding the materials but when I turn off that option, V-ray bugs. I don't think this last scene has a lot of complex geometry in it besides few pieces of furniture. I tried to upload it here but I couldn't see my SU models through the upload window, there might be a posting restriction here.
Do you know how I can upload this model?
