  • Vray universal settings

    Hi,

I am trying out the vray universal settings with Rhino and I am getting noisy results. http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150S...nisettings.htm Does it work with Rhino?

If the universal settings dont work what are the best settings for the DMC as primary GI engine?

I found that I had to lower both the DMC sampler and image sampler thresholds to 0.002 to get it to be noise free. Seems much lower than the 3ds Max method.

Interesting! What king of render you are doing? Interior, exterior, products, etc.? What method to illuminate the scene? Rectangular light, HDRI, just GI, etc?

What are your color mapping settings?

        Best regards,

V-Ray can potentially render out any passes that are needed for this, but there is no information on their site what those passes are. If you can get us this information, or if they can send it to us, we can look into it.

            Best regards,
            Vlado

              Hi,

It was simple studio set up with 3 rectangle lights. The studio background was off white, colour mapping linear. You could notice noise on the studio background.
