  • Interior Render Settings - Help Please!!!

    Hi to all:

I have troubles to render and Interior scene with the latest Vray for sketchup I try to render a scene in 3200 x 2400 and I follow older comments about interior settings and it take me 5 hours to make a single render I hope all you masters of the universe can help me out with a different settings for make speed up the process.

    here are my settings:

I think this will be use for many users if we an have either a file with correct settings or a nice simple explanation to have the same quality and pick speed in the render.

I have a sample of the Image that I try to render...

I take 2 classes online with asgvis with Fernando Pedrogo excellent classes but I never can change the speed of the whole process always too many hours of render. Again thank you in advance.
The best that I can do is keep learning, and the Renderings are just a small step to get real.

Hey, I see you have the image posted here. That's helpful. I would do two things first. check on the "default lights" in the global switches. Click the "M" for GI color in your environment settings and change it to "none" then increase the GI multiplier to 15 or 20. This will give you a lot more light on the interior which will help generate the render.
Then, check if you have any displacement in your materials - change any of those to bump maps, that would save lots of processing time.

There's an interior lighting tutorial that would be really helpful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCIngKllJnk

        Hi Andy:

Thank you for all your comments. I follow your settings and I try to render the kitchen, unfortunally because they have tons of shinny surfaces the render process take almost the double of the time and the quality of the shine surfaces are not so good and I decide after 9 hours to terminate the render and search for more settings to reduce time.

Thank you in advance for all the comments.

I attach my render settings, If someone have an a idea what is the wrong settings will be good. I just want to reduce my time, a render in 3200 x 2400 should not take more than 5 hours in HQ but 10.5 hours? It's just crazy...

Again I take any good suggestions.
