  • White sun, white sky, white background?

    Hello,

i am learning VRay for SU at the moment and trying to do this small tutorial. It has links to some vray preset options files, but it appears they are for an older VRay version, since i get totally different results.

I am trying to find the right settings for archiving such all-white renders (pictures white-sun and white-sky in the turorial). However much i try, i cant seem to get it right. I have set 'Override Materials' to white, which works as expected. I have set the BG color to white, and m to none, which results in a darkgrey background. In GI i am using TexSky and the 'Sunlight'-Plugin. I am getting light-blueish tone over all white surfaces.

Any hints (or even a settings file) would be much appreciated,

    P.

The bluish tone is your sun system. You need to remove TexSky from the GI and BG maps and set them to white color. I've attached a link to a visopt I use to accomplish this effect. Note that ambient occlusion is turned on, so if you don't want it, turn it off. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17332901/AO%20Pass.visopt
