  • Batch render script

    Hi,

I have seen a link to a script that will allow you to batch render Vray scenes. The link mentioned is this one: http://www.chaosgroup.com/en/2/asgvi...ileinfo&id=331

How ever this link is now dead. It is also 4 years old. Is there an up to date link for a script that will work with Rhino 4 and the latest version of Vray? The 1.5 beta? I know there were previous issues of the script opening and closing files before they had a chance to render so I wondered if this has been fixed yet?

    Thanks,

    Hello James-

We have not updated the batch render script and to be honest I am not sure that we plan on updating it. Have a look at the new batch render for Rhino; http://www.badger3d.com/. I have tested it with a version of the V-Ray 1.5 beta and it works smoothly.

    Best regards,
    Corey

Thank you Corey, at what point did the script work up to? How easy would it be to amend the script to work with the latest software? I have tried Badger 3D and I had some issues with it. Perhaps I will revisit it as you have confirmed it works with the latest version of Vray and Rhino 4.

Is there any set up process? Maybe I missed something, on the website it mentions to turn batch mode on. Is this an option with Vray 1.5 Beta?

The Batch mode is available in the latest version of Vray and Rhino 4. It's under Global Switches > Render > Batch render check box. In the new 1.5 Beta, it is under Global switches > Misc. > Batch render check box.
