  • 1.5 Beta HDRI multiplier

    Hi,

In Vray 1.5 Beta for Rhino I cannot locate a multiplier for the HDRI. In 3ds Max for example you could either adjust the light intensity or the intensity of the HDRI map its self in the material editor. Is this function in Rhino?

    Hi James
The multiplier is located outside the Texture Editor. If you are using the HDRI in the environment, the multiplier is located right after the GI(skylight) color.

      Hi,

Sorry I should have been more clear. The HDRI is being used in the V-Ray dome light. I wondered if there was a multiplier for the HDRI map as well as the multiplier for the dome light itself.

No, unfortunately we can't do that in VfR 1.5. Some time controlling the gamma of the HDRI do the trick for me, but no, we don't have an individual multiplier for the HDRI.

I tought that the intensity settings in the dome light tab was that....a multiplier.
So if it isn't,what is it ?

The intensity of the dome light is controlled via the multiplier in the dome light properties which does affect the HDR image. However I wondered if there was a secondary option to control the intensity of the HDR image outside of the dome light instead of using the light multiplier.
