  • render problems with fluids

i have an explosion with fluids but vray does not render it.
does anyone have experience with fluid and vray. this is my first project.

i think i have the reflections of the explosion but not the explosion itself.

in the pic on the right is an explosion but i cant see any.
on the left i think there a some reflections on the pillar...

here is a picture from maya how it should look

does anyone have settings which worked good?
if found the vray attributes but i dont really know which one would help

    regards

It would be helpful if you can post a (part of the) scene so that we can take a look at what's going on - it's hard to say right away.

    Best regards,

i could kind of isolated the problem...
      vray renders only 1 explosion.
i uploaded the scene with the explosions.

So, the major issue seems to be that your cells are not exactly squares. I.e. for the grid 42,60, 42, the size must be 50.4, 72, 50.4. The other problem is that the opacity is calculated somewhat differently from Maya. I'm investigating those problems. Also, you may need to add the extra attributes and increase the maximum steps if your shading looks cut-off.
I can suggest you to download the PhoenixFD for Maya demo. It comes with a shader that will automatically replace the default fluid shading. It seems not to have any of these issues.

In the next nightly build this should be fixed. The problem was with the scaling of the transformation.
