  • Don't render final image with render pass

    Hello,

I'm working on a student short film, and I would like to know how is it possible, in order to optimise render, to don't render final image but I need to use the Vray frame Buffer with Split render channels.

    Can you help me ?

    Thank you in advance

either im not understanding you or your missing some fundamental piece of render theory when it comes to rendering and using passes

Hum, in fact, I just want to know if is it possible to save with "split render channels" RGB, alpha, zdepth etc.. WITH the possibility to hide during render, the phase calculation in VFB in order to help CPU to calculate faster ? What do you think ?
(sorry for my english, I hope you understand)

        Thank you in advance Da_elf

You can do this but i'm pretty sure it only saves RAM and wont help it render quicker.

For the sake of how to do it anyway, you want to render to .vrimg straight to disk with no preview.

I think you also need to set the resolution of your render in 3dsmax to 1,1 and set the real resolution in the vfb settings.
