try using it. It might just be something that was added before the VRayCompTex was made. It could very well just be a useless parameter that we need to hide in our UI. We have had to do that with quite a few parameters. It's a result of our UI being automatically generated. It's great because it makes sure that there is a button for every single parameter, no matter what... but it's not so great, because there are few parameters that don't need to be shown and are just used behind the scenes without customer interaction. When those parameters show up, it just confuses people.

Oh, Joe went digging and found an answer. I've added it to the tooltip information that pops up for that control, but you won't see that until there is a build that has that change in there. Until then, here's what it does: "If enabled, Texture B will be composited over Texture A, taking its alpha into account". Thanks Joe!
