components not unhiding in animation

does anyone know why my components in my sketchup scenes do not unhide when i render an animation in VRAY from scenes? i am creating an animation where i have certain components turned off in the earlier scenes and then they are supposed to turn on in the later scenes. I've read a lot of tutorials for animations in vfs but there is never any mention of this feature not being possible or how to make it work.
any help would be greatly appreciated

using vfs 1.49.01 with sketchup 8

vray for SU only exports the geometry once, and does not recognize any changes to object or layer visibility in subsequent scenes. That's just how it works currently, sorry.

I'm sorry to hear this. I feel it's definitely one of sketchup's greater attributes when creating an assembly animation. I guess that means that sketchyphysics wouldn't work either?
