I've been having trouble getting glass to look like glass while at the same time picking up colors of light sources. My understanding of Vray is pretty basic so i would appreciate any help. I am shining yellow light down at the glass panels, and I know in real life the glass would turn a little bit yellow (partially through the inherent imperfect transparency, and partially from dust and dirt). What I want to see visually happen is that as light passes through multiple glass panels, you can see that the yellow light warmth or glow dissipate from top to bottom.
-If i have plain glass 100% transparent, no fog, glass wont pick up any colors.
-I am thinking of lowering the transparency and seeing what that does, but i am finding that anything other that 100% or 0% transparent takes way way longer to render. what took 2 minutes, seems to be taking hours. Sorry i am being inpatient and don't have a completed rendering with partial transparency.
-or should I look at translucency? I don''t really know how to use this but also don't think that's the direction i am looking for, also again because of time.
Thanks ahead and let me know if i haven't provided enough information about the scene
