Looks like the focus of the development is on the SketchUp side again ... the parallel development is a pain.

This is most likely an installer issue. You might notice in program files that you have a "Rhinoceros 5.0 WIP" folder as well as a "Rhinoceros 5.0 Beta" folder. If that is the case, make sure our installer is using the "beta" path, or whichever path you are running Rhino from, as the install path our installer uses.

Sorry for the inconvenience, our next service release will have this resolved

              Hello,

Sorry that we have missed your questions for so long.
This error is usually caused by several reasons:
              - User account don't have enough rights
              - Specific plugins
              - RDK not installed
              - Bad installation

              You can try following:
              - Disable or if possible delete all 3rd party plugins
              - Install the latest Rhino RDK
              - Re-install V-Ray for Rhino with run as administrator option
              - If you are using Rhino 5 Beta please make sure that there are no left over folders from previous installations and that you install V-Ray to the correct folder.

mackl : Regarding the combination of two V-Ray versions installed on same PC even for different Rhino's we are not sure that we can make it work. Feel free to email us and we will look into it.

If non of the steps above helps please drop us an email at support@chaosgroup.com

Joe got it right, and that have been answered in August in the following thread ,in the bugs forum,by me.
                Vray cannot be loaded

and yes vray 1.05 on rhino 4 and vray 1.5 on rhino 5 on the same machine do work
