  • Default renderings in V1.49 not the same as the manual

    Hi guys,

I'm trying to get through the V-Ray for Sketchup manual and my initial renderings never seem to match the images in the pdf. Here's an example
for Texture-Mapping_01.skp. The first image is the one from the manual:

The next shows my rendering using the default V-Ray options.

Is the lighting difference caused by a Sketchup setting or something that's different in the V-Ray option defaults or something else?

    Thanks

    Elliot

      Hi
The manual is out of date. It was wrote for an old version of V-Ray for Sketchup and we changed the default setting in the newest version of V-Ray for Sketcup. For example in the old version of VfSU we were not using the physical sun and the physical camera in our default setting. In the newest version, we are using the physical sun and camera. That is the main different on the default setting. I think the manual still good to understand the basic concept of the software.
