Open the visor, there's a perfect example of a hlaftone shader.

I've check them all before starting this thread but most can't be rendered with vray.I suppose ....that's probably because this shaders use materials as texture ,which, from what I read is a technical limitation in vray...I don't know.If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it!

there is a whole bunch of toon examples under "toon" section in the visor, however none of them (none that I tried anyway) work with vray...You have to click on Toon example, and click on the path (otherwise some times it does not refresh)

Oh, sorry then. I haven't tested obviously, but this is good to know.

..the shortest way would be Rendering/Toon/Get toon example...anyway ,what I am looking for is a shader who imitate hand drawing animation where outline flicker(shake) pretty often.Best example I seen on the internet is at http://algorithmicarts.com/gallery/npr-animation/. I like especially "watercolor ant" example ,but "Torus Sketch" or "Sketchy eggs" example is approximately what I am searching for .

those setups are really tricky, they don't even work with mental ray...so I don't really see much use in them anyway

the only way to get something similar as per my experience is to use piranesi as post prod final toutch.

i guess you dont really need to use vray to render that stuff anyway, why not just comp it in with the rest of your v-ray renders?
